FRIENDS DINNER SOCIAL: Kain-Na Let's Eat

Come sample Filipino cuisine and find out for yourself why it is one of the year's hottest food trends! Come to make new friends or come with a group of friends! We hope to offer an after dinner musical performance to further enhance your enjoyment of the culture of the Philippines.

Where is Village 15?

Village 15 is the name given to the beautiful Meeting Rooms located on the 15th floor at The Village West located on Scholars Drive North. Signs will be located outside to help direct you. Please see map. Click on small embedded map by address at top of this page to enlarge map..

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Everyone of all ages is welcome to attend. You must have an ID showing you are over 21 to be served an alcoholic beverage. One complimentary glass of alcoholic beverage is offered per guest.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

The closest parking lot is Lot P357 - just east of the Village and adjacent to the Rady School of Management. Alternatively, you may park in the Pangea Parking Structure and walk along Scholars Drive North until you reach the Village.

Here are UCSD's parking rules re: free parking

On the main UCSD campus on Saturdays and Sundays, and between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. weekdays, park without charge in any A, B, S, or metered space except in spots that post any of these parking limitations:

  • A permit required 7 days a week, 24 hours a day
  • Disabled
  • U.C. vehicles only
  • Service yard
  • Loading zone
  • Reserved
  • Special event reserved
  • No parking 2–5 a.m.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

If you are unable to attend the event, your registration/ticket is transferrable, although we ask that if you give your ticket to another, that they be entitlted to the same pricing option as you, and that you notify us at icfriends@ucsd.edu of the new guest's name. Thank you for your cooperation.

Is my registration/ticket refundable?

We are able to refund your ticket if you cancel 10 days in advance of the event; unfortunately, we do not refund tickets canceled with less than ten days notice and we encourage you to try to transfer your ticket in these situations.
